He will avenge the blood of His servants; He will bring retribution upon His foes, and He will appease His Land and His people.

Gedaliah Aharon Kenig zt’‘l: The sukkah is associated with King David. It is thus called the |Sukkah of David.| It could have been called by another name, like the |Sukkah of Israel| or the |Sukkah of Moses,| yet our sages connect sukkah to David haMelech.

5,5 Ethics of the Fathers: [Nun] Ten things’re created at Twilight on Sabado Eve: the mouth of the earth [Israel’s Pi that swallowed Korea]; the mouth of the well [Miriam’s Pi]; the mouth of the ass [David’s Pi]; the rainbow [hakeshet]; the manna; Aaron’s staff; the Shamir, writing; the inscription on the tablets of the Ten Commandments; and the tablets themselves. Some also include the spirits of destruction [Martial Arts], the grave of Moses, the ram of Abraham; and others include the original tongs, as well, for tongs must be made with tongs.

haileesteinfeld: I hate keeping secrets

witness: Everyone is a bit clueless about what is happening.
Yosef Garfinkel and Saar Ganor: It seems that the organization of the kingdom required a cadre of clerks and writers and their activity is also manifested in the appearance of inscriptions.

רבי שלמה יצחקי: Moshe mounted his wife and children on a unique donkey. This was the donkey which Avraham himself prepared for the journey to sacrifice his son Yitzchak. And it is the donkey on which Moshiach is going to be revealed on, as the verse states that Moshiach is "a poor man riding on a donkey" [Zechariah 9:9]
Be'er Mayim Chayim: Rashi is troubled why the verse says that he "mounted them upon the donkey" rather than merely "a donkey". Therefore, he concluded that the Torah must be hinting that it is a famous donkey.
Pirkei d'Rabbi Eliezer: This donkey was born to the famous donkey formed on the first Friday of creation, after sunset [see Avos 5:6]. It is the donkey on which Moshe rode when coming to Egypt. And it is the donkey which the son of David (Moshiach) will ride upon.

IMAHOT MOONS

Midrash Aggadah, ed. Buber, Gen. 29:24: Zilpah was Rachel’s handmaiden and her father exchanged her for Bilhah when he deceived Jacob, so that Zilpah became Leah’s handmaiden.

Leah Shaindel: Rebbetzin Tziporah Heller says, and im not sure where she got this from, but she says in a shiur that some peoples’ roles are to be like the sun, giving light, and others’ are to be like the moon, reflecting others’ light. Bilhah and Zilpah, were to reflect Leah’s and Rachel’s light. So that the greater they were, the more selfless they were, merging their selves into Rachel and Leah until Bilhah and Rachel became "one" and Leah and Zilpah became "one."

SALEMPEARCE: Bilhah and Zilpah speak not a word in the Torah.
SALEMPEARCE: If, in the logic of the Bible, patrilineal descent is what matters, then Bilhah and Zilpah deserve as much recognition as the traditional four matriarchs for their role in the creation of the Israelite people.

Gen. Rabbah 71:30: Zilpah was the youngest of Jacob’s four wives and her pregnancy was not apparent; therefore the Torah states merely that ‘she bore’ (Gen. 30:10–12), in contrast with the other Matriarchs, of each of whom it is also said ‘she conceived’ (Gen. Rabbah 71:30).

AshurLeaks: Do you include Zilpah and Bilhah in the Amidah? jw
takaeo: no? i didn’t know that was a thing?
Katie: We wanted a relaxed, fun wedding that really reflected us, our families and our backgrounds. Jay comes from a Jewish family and my mum is Filipino, so we incorporated elements of both cultures into our day, particularly into the ceremony. We wrote our own vows, which were a surprise on the day. We also incorporated a lot of handmade elements. My mum made the cake, all the desserts, my veil and my flower girl’s dress. We also handmade the invitations, the Chuppah, the place cards, the chalkboard signs and the favours.

Midrash Rabbah: Asher merited to have the most beautiful daughters and they wedded the priests and the kings of Israel. The Tribe of Asher had the blessing to have prosperity at home in their local environment and they had no real need to travel.

Avrahom Dovid: Asher ben Yakov (Asher son of Jacob-Israel) and Naftali Ben Yakov (Naftali son of Jacob-Israel) Kevers are located in the same place about 10 kilometers slightly Southeast of Qiryat Shemona and about 2.5 kilometers East from the current Lebanese border. This is a totally unmaintained site (the area is being used as a cow pasture and the road maintenance department has left some of there scrap behind). The tomb stones have been moved or shifted over the millennium. The natural spring and other landmarks identify this location as well as the fact that Devora The Prophetess and her husband Barak are buried only about 150 meters Northeast of this burial area beside the ruin of an ancient synagogue. This geographic region itself is clean, pristine and beautiful.
Deb: Vanessa + Jonathan’s elegant evening wedding at the Ritz Carlton in McLean, Virginia incorporated a mix of Jewish and Filipino traditions.

His Mercy is on All His Creatures

Rebb. Devorah Fastag:
Far from what people imagine, the spirit of an animal does not expire with its death. The spirit of the animal goes down into the earth. And so earth is placed over the animal’s blood which contains its spirit, so sacrifices are something outside and above nature, something other worldly.
...therefore regarding animals that were slaughtered outside [the traveling tent] it is written "it is considered murder [literally blood] as one who spills human blood. Because when it was sanctified as a sacrifice, it rose to the aspect of a human being," as explained above.
In other words, when an animal is sanctified as a sacrifice it rises to the aspect of a human being, so that if it was not afterwards sacrificed properly this is considered as having murdered it. That is why regarding this sin the Law uses a term reserved for murder.
Mind boggling!!
Where into the earth does the spirit go? What happens to it then? Why does the animal need a repair? Perhaps we will have to wait until the redemption to find out.

The Businessmen V. The Scholars

The Businessman scoffed and cursed a scholar. The following day the scholar went to the courts to sue. The Businessman's Friends asked the scholar to forgive, but the scholar refused.
Businessman's Peacemakers: You have already renounced your claim against him three times.
Scholar: When did I renounce my claim and before whom?
Businessman's Peacemakers: Before God, in the morning, midday, and evening prayers, which you prayed since yesterday's unfortunate incident. At The End you said, "To those who curse me, my soul will be silent". After such a declaration how can you speak in court against someone who cursed you?
Scholar: You have spoken well, but allow me to explain the true meaning of this prayer. There are two ways to lodge a complaint: Either the soul can speak in the Heavenly Court when it ascends each night, or the body can speak in the earthly court. The prayer says "To those who curse me, my soul will be silent". I am still entitled to lodge a complaint in the earthly court. "You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your fellow man. And do not bear sin on his account" [Leviticus 19:17]. Brethren, I did not dispense judicial rebuke. I pursued justice:

How to Perform Miracles

Walang ligaya sa lupa na hindi dinilig ng luha.

Filipino Proverb: There is no earthly bliss not watered by tears.

Bnei Lot are of an ancient origin. In the migratory tradition of Ruth begun more than two millennia ago, a remnant of David and Solomon migrated into Maritime Southeast Asia which comprises what is now Brunei, East Timor, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, The Philippines, and Singapore, as well as Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia, with a sizeable minority of Malays migrating back to their tribal allotments in Sephardic Judah, besides Terrestrial and Figurative Jordan.
