At naroroon din naman si Chana, na isang propetisa, anak na babae ni Fanu'el, sa angkan ni Aser, (siya'y lubhang matanda na, at may pitong taong nakisama sa kaniyang asawa mula sa kaniyang kadalagahan, At siya'y bao nang walongpu't apat na taon), na hindi humihiwalay sa templo, at sumasamba sa gabi at araw sa pamamagitan ng mga pagaayuno at mga pagdaing. At pagdating niya sa oras ding yaon, siya'y nagpasalamat sa Dios, at nagsalita ng tungkol sa sanggol sa lahat ng nagsisipaghintay ng katubusan sa Jerusalem.

[Translation] Now ha'nevi'ah Anna bat Asher was far advanced in days, having had after her maidenhood seven years of matrimony, and she had been a widow about fourscore and four years, which departed not from The Temple Courtyard, but continued to serve Hashem night and day with fasting and tefilot.
