Today August 5, 2017 makes it about 12 years since my father passed away. Despite what not-so-peachy views I had and still have, I have and will always will him. Death is not something many of us could ever get over. So I channel pieces of my brokenness to help others going through similar situations. When we are not over something painful, it is better to NOT bury it. We take pain and turn it into something good. Yeah I took that bit off the Kickass 2 movie, but I ❤ Hit-Girl. Lol. My father was an actor and I guess that's where I got my performance artistry from next to my random humor and at times very fun inappropriate filter. Well he was also Jewish and I don't know many fellow Jews without a filter. Lol. Continue to rest in Paradise Dad. ❤ #eugeneararomanoff #josephjojoromanoff #dad #rip #deathanniversary

Karin Foreman: Jacob blessed Asher with a prophetic message: "From Asher will come rich food, and he will provide royal delicacies." In the Midrash we find another layer of meaning behind this blessing. The Hebrew word used here for "rich" is shmeinah. The same four Hebrew letters also spell the word shmoneh, "eight." So, according to the Midrash, Asher will raise children who wear eight garments, implying the eight garments worn by the high priest. How can this be related, since the high priests come from the Tribe of Levi? Asher’s daughters’ physical beauty reflected their inner qualities of modesty, nobility, spiritual maturity and loveliness. They exhibited an internal commitment to spirit over flesh, which made them highly desirable and the perfect partners to high priests and royalties. Thus, Asher’s grandchildren were eligible for the position of high priests and kings who were anointed with olive oil. In Jewish thought, "oil" also signifies wisdom.

Jill Hammer: The aged Serach has preserved the knowledge of the location of Joseph’s bones for 400 years. Along with the bones, she has preserved the knowledge that a redeemer is destined to take the people out of Egypt. Without her, the people could not have remembered. Without her, no redemption could have taken place.

DOREEN ELLEN BELL-DOTAN, TZFAT: The Ground of Being is the highest level of Humility.
The Material Universe is not supposed to be a maidservant - at the disposal and to the use of any and all, without discrimination, without dignity, without recognition, and taken for granted.
We should be giving The Universe the very same advice that we would give to our beloved Daughters, and Sons too:
Don’t respond to those who don’t love you.
Don’t let everyone touch you.
Don’t give of yourself indiscriminately to those who do not honor and value you.
Don’t collapse into the arms of anyone who pays you the least attention.
Give of yourself as you will to those who love and value you and notice the jewels and beauty you hold within.
Imagine a world in which The Universe refused to respond to anyone who didn’t approach it with love and utmost respect. Imagine if metals, for instance, did not allow themselves to be smelted alike for those who make jewelry and those who make shackles, those who build homes and those who build prisons.
Imagine if Material did not actualize except for those who reached out to it in Love and the utmost Respect and Gratitude.
Heaven is very discriminating about who is allowed to touch it. Earth must be so too.
That reality is not only possible; it’s where we are supposed to be living. That reality is called The Land of Israel in Torah. The Land of Israel is not a geographical area and most certainly not a political entity that can be conquered and defended by force of arms. It is a State of Being that is manifested when we attain the level of Humility whereupon though we know that the Creation will materialize to us even if we abuse it, even if we disregard it, even if we take it for granted - we do not and regard it with sacred awe.
Kristine Sydney: I joke with my husband J. that we look like a United Colors of Benetton ad: me, a Filipino raised Catholic in Saudi Arabia and him, a white American Jew from right outside Boston.

Mrs. Shira Smiles: Melekh Ha’Moshiakh comes from S’dm; Melekh Ha’Moshiakh comes from Avraham Avinu’s treemendous love…

Mrs. Shira Smiles: His biological DNA comes from Lot ~ comes from Lot’s Daughters ~ because, to really be Melekh Ha’Moshiakh, you have to have within you an understanding of the entire World to be Abel to judge them, to be Abel to understand them, and to be Abel to bring them closer to Hashem

Mrs. Shira Smiles: Women are not the ones that greet guests. Women don’t go out to greet the Men. The Men do. Ah, if that’s the law that Women don’t go out and Men do, therefore we know ~ and ET can be established in heaven, as well ~ Moabite Women are not responsible for not going out to greet the Jewish People, later on in His Story, and, therefore, Moabite Women are allowed to marry Jewish Men. Now that he knows that Moabite Women are allowed to marry Jewish Men, he knows, now, he can save Lot, from Lot can come Moav, from Moav can come Roos (Root frum Moav und Na’amah frum Ammon), and, therefore, they are allowed to be the Mothers av Melekh Ha’Moshiakh:

Mrs. Shira Smiles: In the meantime, we have lost that aspect of Avraham’s hesed; ET was inherited, instead, by Lot and his descendants Moav: this special type of hesed has been passed down from generation to generation, in dormant form, by the descendants av David Ha’Melekh…

Mrs. Shira Smiles: We FIND ourselves, in S’dm: we have to FIND the David in S’dm; we have to FIND the Melekh in S’dm.

Mrs. Shira Smiles: Literally, he sees that his tefillah went up in smoke:

||As I was setting up my camera on a table for a timer-controlled self-portrait, there were two guys who also came up and one of them took my photo.||

Walang ligaya sa lupa na hindi dinilig ng luha.

Filipino Proverb: There is no earthly bliss not watered by tears.

Bnei Lot are of an ancient origin. In the migratory tradition of Ruth begun more than two millennia ago, a remnant of David and Solomon migrated into Maritime Southeast Asia which comprises what is now Brunei, East Timor, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, The Philippines, and Singapore, as well as Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia, with a sizeable minority of Malays migrating back to their tribal allotments in Sephardic Judah, besides Terrestrial and Figurative Jordan.
