I couldn't imagine how hard it is for you makatanggap ng masasamang balita galing from Pinas habang nagpapakapagod ka. Di rin madali ang Nagpalipat lipat tayo ng tirahan at ng school. Ari Enkin: The tribes of Gad and Reuben asked Moses if they could stay in Jordan. Permanently.

Ari Enkin: The Midrash [rabbinic literature] says that when Gad and Reuben got back to their homes in Jordan after the war of independence and the division of the land, which was 14 years later, their children were unrecognizable. They were now teenagers who had gone off to different paths in life! That’s what happens when there is no father.

Arthur Waskow: Traditionally, the marriage of Ruth and Boaz is regarded as the key linkage that leads toward the birth of David — shepherd, king, and psalmist. Ruth and Boaz lead therefore to that descendant of King David who is yet to come: King Messiah.

Richard Javad Heydarian: First and foremost, the feminization of Philippine labor export means that many children will be deprived of an important pillar in their family. In some families, both parents are working as OFWs, thus leaving their children behind for years if not decades with relatives or grandparents.
Richard Javad HeydarianMeanwhile, however, it is difficult to foster a sense of nationalism when a huge section of the society is always oriented towards relocating abroad in search of greener pastures – thus, creating a lopsided sense of cosmopolitanism with tenuous attachment to the motherland.
Richard Javad HeydarianIt is utterly irresponsible for any state to continuously rely on outsourcing its local employment crisis, especially when it puts millions of people in unnecessary risk.

Catholic Jew: The Tribes of Asher and Gad of O Haplogroup
A video posted by Shelby Rabara (@shelbyrabara) on

Catholic Jew [I am a fifth generation Australian of Anglo Jewish and Anglo-Celtic ancestry]The Kuki-Chin-Mizo Jews are in fact not descendants of the Tribe of Manesseh on their male line but many of them are descendants of the Lost Tribe of Asher [O-M268] and others of Gad. However it is quite possible that one of their ancestors was called Manasseh but was from the Tribe of Asher. Their ancestors may have been part of the military forces of the last King of Israel, Osee [Hoshea], who led Eastern Manesseh with the tribes of Asher and Gad into the East. Osee is an ancestor of the Japanese Samurai according to others. It would seem that many Koreans and Japanese are also descendants of the Tribe of Asher. It would seem that the Nias of Indonesia and the aboriginal Taiwanese belong mainly to the Tribe of Gad. The people of Thailand are mainly of the Tribe of Asher with also a strong input from the Tribe of Gad. [T]he Tribe of Gad called the Hani or Chani [Chin] went with the Tribe of Asher and the Manassehite King Osee [Hoshea/ Huaxia/ Yellow Emperor] of Samaria [Israel] into western China around 600 BC. The original Han Chinese are mostly of this O-M122 clan of Gad. King Osee was known as Susanoo to the Japanese. He married Princess Kushi the daughter of the Prince of Asher [Nasi Asher/ Ashi-nadzuchi] and his wife Amahterasu [Amah-Te] the daughter of the Queen Mother of the West, Hephzibah of Judah [Hsi-wang-mu/ Izanami], and her husband King Hezekiah of Judah [Izanagi]. Queen Kushi’s brother Prince Ame of Asher [Ashi/ Oshi] was the ancestor of Jimmu the first Japanese Emperor [c.400 BC].

Simcha Jacobovici: According to the Jewish historian Josephus, during his lifetime in the 1st century, the whereabouts of the exiled tribes was known. One of the lost tribes i.e., one of the tribes exiled from Israel by the Assyrians in the 8th century BCE, was the tribe of Gad. Is it a coincidence that the word "Gad," "Guad" in Spanish, appears everywhere embedded in the geography of southern Spain e.g., Gaudalete, Gaudalquivir and Guadiana. More than this, ancient Cadiz was called "Gadir" – the land of the Gadareans. In Hebrew, "Gadir" means the city of Gad and, to this day, the citizens of Cadiz do not call themselves Cadizians, but "Gaditanos" i.e., Gadites. The long lost Gadites have been found.

There are 29,766 Filipinos in Jordan.
H.E. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Royal Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Ms. Junever Mahilum-West presented her credentials to His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein on 03 June 2015 at the Basman Palace in Amman. Ambassador Mahilum-West was accompanied by Consul Cassandra Sawadjaan, Labor Attache Florenda Herrera and Second Secretary Candido Bontogon, Jr. of Team Philippines in Jordan.
The Embassy of the Philippines in Amman celebrated this memorable event with a salo-salo lunch for the whole Team Philippines in Jordan.

Ray Butch Gamboa: Many Filipino hotel workers are now stationed at the Dead Sea Resorts area which actually has two sides to it: one lies in the Israel side and one in Jordan. If you’re interested to travel to Jordan, just e-mail the honorary consulate at jordanconsulatemanila@gmail.com.

Talah Turk: Amman’s Filipinos are the luckiest, with a whole area dedicated to their community. Manila Street, also commonly known as Little Manila, and Filipino or Egyptian Neighborhood, is an area with a large concentration of Asian and Arab immigrants. In the heart of Jabal Amman, Buhturi Street descends from Second Circle– which Filipinos refer to as the Panadol Roundabout – and is full of Asian grocery shops, discount clothing stores, as well as affordable restaurants and bakeries, some of which serve authentic Filipino dishes. Amman’s Little Manila is the place to go for Filipino delicacies such as crispy chicken skin and salted eggs, in addition to Asian products and the latest Filipino movies.

The Filipino community is by far the most organized and active amongst all guest workers’ communities in Jordan. Filipinos are raised to be caring and considerate of others, which comes through in the type of events they hold and the way the UFO (United Filipino Organization) operates. If one person has a problem, it becomes the community’s problem.

The Indonesian community is definitely the most private and, some might say, defensive.

Aaron Koller: Scholars have had difficulty identifying the precise borders of the tribes in Transjordan, and have suggested that one reason for the difficulties in pinning down the borders of the holdings of Reuben and Gad is that tribal identities were often fluid. This means that a town, or a group of people, may consider themselves to be Reubenites one century, but Gadites the next. These changes can take place through conquest, through political realignment, through cultural influence, and through other processes; it is a truism of modern research on ethnicity that identity is created through affiliation as much, or more, than it is inherited through genealogy.
Who is Gad? – was Gad part of Israel? an independent ethnic group? a subgroup of Moab? The anxiety over the stability of tribes settled in the Transjordan was well placed.
Throughout the history of biblical Israel, identity was never stable, and that the borders of the nation – defining who was and who wasn’t an Israelite – were constantly shifting, especially in the multicultural Transjordan. This historical reality provides important background for understanding the concern voiced by Moses about Reuben and Gad remaining on the eastern banks. We can only conjecture how these processes affected the Israelites as a whole, but it contributed, no doubt, to the Israelites’ growing sense that being a member of the people was dependent more on culture and religion than on biology alone.
Avrahom Dovid: Gad - we regret that we are unable to show you his resting spot at this time because his tribal territory is in the political entity called Jordan.

Moishe New: When will we have the complete Land of Israel that comprises the eastern bank of the Jordan [present-day Jordan and Saudi Arabia]? That will happen in the Messianic Era. That is yet to be fulfilled.
