Mikhah 7:1: I am as the last of the figs, like the gleanings of the vintage

Might the mountains of Israel in Ezekiel's prophecy refer to what is today Syria, and the horde of Gog/Magog and the many nations with him falling there? Some players are Turkey, US, Russia, Iran, many of which are referenced as at least geographically sound locations of the nations rallied up against Israel in Ezekiel. 'And I will call the sword against him upon all My mountains, says the Lord God: every man's sword shall be against his brother' Ezekiel 38:21. These nations, while all possessing either an overt or hidden anti-Israel history/attitude may be placed into a situation where they end up fighting each other, instead of Israel. And they shall break Eretz Assyria with the sword, and Eretz Nimrod ben Cham at its gates [that is, Bavel]; and he shall save [us] from Assyria, who comes into our land, and who treads in our border." — Mikhah 5:4-5

"Arise and thresh, O bat Tzion, for I will make your horn iron, and I will make your hooves copper; and you shall crush many nations, and you shall devote their plunder to the Lord, and their wealth to the Lord of all the earth." — Mikhah 4:13
"And in anger and fury I will execute vengeance upon the nations who have paid no heed" (Mikhah 5:15).
"And the remnant of Ya'akov shall be among the nations, in the midst of many peoples-like a lion among the beasts of the forest, like a young lion among the flocks of sheep, which, if it passes through, treads down and tears in pieces, and no one [can] save anything" (Mikhah 5:7).
"A cub [and] a grown lion is Y'huda. From the prey, my son, you withdrew. He crouched, rested like a lion, and like a lion, who will rouse him?" (Beretshiite 49:9)
"And of Gad he said: 'Blessed is He Who grants expanse to Gad; he dwells like a lion, tearing the arm [of his prey, together] with the head'" (Devarim 33:20).

"On that day, says the Lord: I will heal the limping one, and the lost one I will gather, and those whom I harmed [with Tsaraat]. And I will make the limping one into a remnant, and the scattered one into a mighty nation, and the Lord shall reign over them on Har Tzion from now and forever. And you-tower of the flock, the tower of bat Tzion-to you it shall come; yea, the former kingdom shall come to bat Yerushalayim" {Mikhah 4:6-8}.
