My husband is Filipino American and I’m Jewish. We have had some interesting encounters over the years, including an emphatic, “there is no way he came from your body” about my son. I don’t have kind words for those pathetic individuals.

My Filipino mom converted so I could grow up Jewish. My dad changed from orthodox to conservative so that they could sit together, 

so that she wouldn’t have to sit all by herself, the only POC there
