“In a sort of pregame ritual, Koy spends the better part of an hour before his show trying on different combinations of clothing. He matches different shirts with jeans and belts, trying to find the right look – the right style to fit with his act for the night.” ~ Joseph Nguyen

“I’ve always been into looking good or wearing the latest. When you’re on stage, I think it’s like a presentation of yourself.” ~ Joseph Glenn Herbert

When I was a kid I once visited Israel with my mother.

We have a lot of things in common with the Jews, my mom said in a tone of voice like she'd given it a lot of thought. Oh, like what? I asked. She squinted her eyes, looked all serious and said, The Jews had to flee their country. Same! The Jews take care of their traditions. Same! And the Jews are very smart. Same!

When I grew older, I realised we have one more thing in common with the Jews. Our mothers. They are identical in that they are nosy, love nagging, being overprotective and of course, they love playing the guilt card! ("After all I've sacrificed and now you don't wanna be a doctor?!" You never come to see me. You never call, but that's OK, don't worry about me.") I used to hate it, but now I think it's hilarious. I love my Vietnamese mother! Is YOUR mother Vietnamese or Jewish at heart?

Bnei Lot are of an ancient origin. In the migratory tradition of Ruth begun more than two millennia ago, a remnant of David and Solomon migrated into Maritime Southeast Asia which comprises what is now Brunei, East Timor, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, The Philippines, and Singapore, as well as Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia, with a sizeable minority of Malays migrating back to their tribal allotments in Sephardic Judah, besides Terrestrial and Figurative Jordan.
