Mamet, D., Kushner, L.: Noah was a Righteous and Blameless man in his Generation, but not as Righteous as Joseph, Abraham, or Lot were in their Generations. Noah did not pray to God on behalf of Earthlings about to be destroyed by The Flood, as Abraham prayed for the Wicked of Sodom and Gomorrah about to be destroyed by Brimstone and Fire out of the Heavens. In fact, Noah is never seen speaking or preaching and did not invite Humanity into the Ark, with the exception of his family. He simply listens to God and Acts accordingly on His orders. This provoked commentators to describe Noah as "the man in a Fur Coat," who ensured his own Dynasty while ignoring his Neighbours.
