AVI BINUR: MERCY GATE בָּרוּךְ הַשֵׁם
Saturday evening we were warmly welcomed at a dinner at the home of Leony Agustin. She and her good friend Charis, invited more than 20 friends from the Filipino community to come and meet Jonathan. We had a delicious dinner followed by the best mango cake we have ever tasted and Jonathan addressed the group talking about his motivation for running for Parliament and discussing his views on immigration, family reunification which has been a traditional cornerstone of Liberal immigration policy, and the Live-in Caregiver program. He also talked about multiculturalism and the importance of building bridges between different cultural communities right across Canada. Thank you Leony and Charis.

Filipino Proverb: There is no earthly bliss not watered by tears.

Bnei Lot are of an ancient origin. In the migratory tradition of Ruth begun more than two millennia ago, a remnant of David and Solomon migrated into Maritime Southeast Asia which comprises what is now Brunei, East Timor, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, The Philippines, and Singapore, as well as Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia, with a sizeable minority of Malays migrating back to their tribal allotments in Sephardic Judah, besides Terrestrial and Figurative Jordan.
