MJL: Israel's first prime minister, David Ben-Gurion, had visions of peace with an independent Christian country in Lebanon: David hoped to create a coalition of like-minded religious minorities [Coptic Christians, Lebanese Christians, Assyrian Christians, Persian Christians, for example, besides Kurdistan as mutual neighbors] in Lebanon. But nothing came of the idea.
